Global Fuel Supply becomes Blue Energy Partners

Global Fuel Supply rebrands with new name, a broader energy offering and a new visual identity effective today.

(26th May 2026, Copenhagen) - Today, Global Fuel Supply is changing its name to Blue Energy Partners. What started as a fuel trader has grown into a broader energy solution business, covering physical supply, marine energy trading, alternative fuels and environmental solutions.

The name change reflects how the company has grown across geographies and product lines since it was founded by Bijan Shahbaz and Lamin Bara in 2022. Today, Blue Energy Partners operates across seven offices on four continents, operates its own bunker barges in West Africa, runs an environmental desk, supplies ISCC certified biofuels, and trades EU, UK, and Swiss ETS carbon credits.

“Today marks an exciting evolution of our company and identity. The rebranding reflects the growing trust Blue Energy Partners has built with customers, suppliers and partners across the industry, and a clear commitment to being a reliable partner for the long run.

The rebrand is also a reflection of the people behind the business. Blue Energy Partners attributes its growth to the teams that have built it, across trading, operations, compliance, IT, and environmental solutions.
